Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that VIP Protection Services has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. VIP Protection Services has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.
Our business and supply chains
VIP Protection Services provides close protection, executive protection, event security and residential security services to private clients, corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals across the United Kingdom and internationally.
Our supply chains include the engagement of SIA-licensed security operatives and specialist contractors. All operatives engaged by VIP Protection Services are subject to BS 7858 pre-employment screening, which includes verification of identity, right to work in the United Kingdom, employment history and criminal record checks.
Our policies
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
- An anti-slavery and human trafficking policy
- A recruitment policy requiring right-to-work verification for all operatives
- A whistleblowing policy enabling staff to report concerns without fear of reprisal
- A code of conduct setting out the standards of behaviour expected of all personnel
Due diligence
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we carry out BS 7858 pre-employment screening on all operatives prior to deployment. This screening process verifies identity, right to work, employment history and criminal record status.
We do not knowingly engage with any organisation or individual involved in modern slavery or human trafficking. Where concerns are identified, we will take immediate action to investigate and, where necessary, terminate the relationship.
Training and awareness
We are committed to ensuring that all personnel are aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking. We provide awareness information to operatives and management to help them identify and report potential indicators of modern slavery.
