Security planning and delivery for a private corporate function attended by senior executives and a small number of high-profile guests. The event was held at a private venue and required a combination of access control, close protection and liaison with the venue's own security team.

The challenge

Providing effective security without disrupting the atmosphere of a formal corporate event. Several attendees required individual close protection, which needed to be coordinated with the broader event security operation.

Our approach

A full venue assessment was completed in advance. Access control points were agreed with the venue and a credentialing system was implemented for all guests. Officers providing individual close protection were briefed on the event programme and coordinated through a single command structure. A contingency plan was prepared for a range of scenarios including medical emergencies and uninvited media presence.

Outcome

The event was delivered without incident. The client noted that the security operation was unobtrusive and that guests were unaware of the level of security in place.
