1. About these terms
- These terms govern your use of this website and the basis on which VIP Protection Services provides quotations and security services in the United Kingdom. By using this site you accept these terms.
- Where a signed service agreement or written assignment instruction exists, that document takes precedence over these terms for the engagement it covers.
2. Our services
- We provide close protection, executive protection, VIP protection, residential security, event security, manned guarding and related consultancy services using officers licensed by the Security Industry Authority.
- All officers hold a current SIA licence, are screened to BS 7858:2019 and are covered by our public and employer's liability insurance. Certificates are supplied on request before an engagement begins.
3. Quotations and booking
- Quotations are based on the information supplied at the time of enquiry and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A material change in risk, duration, location or team size may change the price.
- A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation. Emergency and same-day deployments are subject to officer availability.
4. Fees, payment and cancellation
- Fees are quoted per officer per day or per hour as set out in the quotation, exclusive of VAT and agreed disbursements such as travel, accommodation and vehicle costs.
- Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Late payment may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- Cancellation charges apply on a sliding scale set out in your assignment confirmation, reflecting officer commitments already made on your behalf.
5. Your responsibilities
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information about the principal, itinerary, venues and any known threat, and to update us promptly if that information changes.
- You agree not to ask officers to act unlawfully or outside the scope of their SIA licence, and to allow reasonable rest breaks and working-time compliance.
6. Limitation of liability
- Security services reduce and manage risk; they cannot eliminate it, and no guarantee against loss, injury or damage is given or implied.
- Our liability for any engagement is limited to the level of our insurance cover in place at the time. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Confidentiality
- Each party will keep the other's confidential information private. We do not disclose client identity or assignment detail, and we sign non-disclosure agreements on request before operational detail is exchanged.
8. Website use and intellectual property
- All text, images, guides and research published on this site belong to VIP Protection Services and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. Short quotations with a link back to the source page are welcome.
- Content on this site is general guidance, not legal or security advice for a specific situation. Obtain a written risk assessment before relying on it.
9. Complaints and governing law
- Complaints are handled under our published complaints procedure and acknowledged within five working days.
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
