VIP Protection Services has introduced structured family protection packages for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth households, bringing residential cover, family transport, travel support and household briefings under a single retained arrangement.
“Families do not want a security operation in the house. They want the school run handled, the property covered when they travel, and the same trusted faces each time.” — spokesperson, VIP Protection Services
What the packages include
Each package is built from a family risk assessment covering residences, routines, schooling, travel patterns, household staff and digital exposure. From that assessment a retained arrangement is agreed with a defined monthly allocation of officer hours.
Typical components are residential cover or patrols, a vetted security chauffeur for school and activity transport, travel support for family holidays, and a household briefing programme covering access control, deliveries and social media discipline.
- • Family and residential risk assessment
- • Named, continuity-based officer allocation
- • School run and activity transport with safeguarding screening
- • Absence cover, key holding and mobile patrols
- • Family travel support in the UK and abroad
- • Household staff and children's safety briefings
Continuity is the design principle
Family assignments fail when the roster rotates constantly. Children do not build trust with strangers, household staff stop passing on useful information, and the protective picture degrades.
Packages therefore allocate named officers with defined cover arrangements, so the family sees a small, consistent group.
Discretion in a family setting
Officers working with families operate in plain, context-appropriate dress and are briefed to remain unremarkable at school gates, clubs and social events.
The objective is that children's lives remain normal. Where a protective measure would make a child conspicuous among peers, an alternative measure is found.
Safeguarding and vetting
Officers assigned to family work are BS 7858 screened and subject to enhanced safeguarding checks where they will be alone with children.
Confidentiality obligations extend to household detail, school names and travel plans, and survive the end of the engagement.
