Service Launch · London · 2 June 2026
VIP Protection Services has launched a standalone threat assessment and risk management service, available independently of any protective deployment.
“Buying officers before you have an assessment is like buying medicine before a diagnosis. Half the assessments we complete recommend fewer people and better procedure, not more people.” — spokesperson, VIP Protection Services
What the assessment covers
Assessments follow a consistent structure: threat identification, vulnerability analysis, impact rating, likelihood rating, and prioritised mitigation ranked by risk reduction against cost.
The scope can be an individual principal, a family and its residences, a corporate site or portfolio, an event, or a specific travel itinerary.
- • Threat picture from open sources and client history
- • Physical vulnerability survey of premises and approaches
- • Routine and pattern-of-life analysis
- • Digital exposure and information-leakage review
- • Prioritised, costed mitigation plan
- • Written report suitable for board or insurer review
Why assessment before deployment
Protective resources are expensive and finite. Without assessment, clients typically over-buy visible measures and under-buy procedural change, which is where most realistic risk actually sits.
An assessment also creates the governance record. For corporate clients it evidences that risk was identified and proportionate action taken; for private clients it provides a rational basis for household decisions that are otherwise driven by anxiety.
Delivery and timescales
A standard individual or residential assessment takes five to ten working days from instruction, including site attendance. Corporate and multi-site assessments are scoped individually.
Reports are delivered as written documents with an accompanying briefing, and recommendations are provided in implementation order with indicative costs.
Independence
The service is deliberately available without any obligation to purchase protective staffing. Clients may implement recommendations themselves, through an incumbent provider, or through VIP Protection Services.
Where the correct recommendation is no protective staffing at all, the report says so.
